Dear Readers!
Recently, my grandmother and I discovered a pair of Fritz Wurlitzer clarinets among some old belongings.
The two instruments—an A clarinet and a B-flat clarinet—likely formed a pair originally, as evidenced by their serial numbers (1529 and 1530). Unfortunately, they are somewhat incomplete and definitely in need of repair.
I do not have much information regarding their origin, other than the fact that my uncle received them as a gift in the early 2000s. Sadly, he no longer recalls where he got them or who might have owned them previously.
I have managed to gather enough information to confirm that they were crafted by the master before 1959.
I would like to have them restored and preserved for future generations.
I am keen to learn more about them; is there anyone who could assist me with this?
I have attached some photos.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards, Zoltán Major
