Information on G H Hüller bassoon

Beitrag von BASSOONBLOKE »

I am struggling to find information on 1930s Hüller bassoons. The one I have has the following stamps on the bell:

1938
G H HULLER
HOLZENIN??????
SCHONECK V
36601

It lacks a high D but plays nicely. What quality are these bassoons and how are they regarded vs more modern Huller bassoons? Its tuning is very even.

Is the apparent date stamp on the bell what it appears to be?

Does anyone have any sales/ pricing literature form the '30s?

Any help very much appreciated.

Even though I cannot judge the quality of the G.H. Hüller bassoons, I would like to comment on the engraving: Is it

1938
G. H. HÜLLER
HOLZBLASINSTRUMENTENFABRIK
SCHÖNECK i. V.
36601

If so:

G.H. Hüller means Gottlob Hermann Hüller
Schöneck i.V. means Schöneck im Vogtland.
Holzblasinstrumentenfabrik means Woodwind Factory
36601 is the serial number, made in 1938, but this is clear, I believe.

Could you please provide a photo with the engravings? That would be great.

Thanks a lot.
