After reading your last message I inspected my Bb Trumpet once again and found another number. On the bottom it says 'made in GDR' 4768. So maybe this is the serialnumber. But what about the other number 1772 then? I am confused.

Sorry for confusing things further but it seems that above the serialnummer 1772 there is a letter D as well. It is difficult to see because of the beautiful engravings that run all over the trumpet. Succes with your research.
